Welcome to D&J Photography…
For almost a decade now I have been fortunate enough to have the time to visit some amazing places. Since childhood I have always been inspired by nature; and photography has allowed me to capture the spirit of the wild so I can share it. Rather then rushing to get from place to place landscape photography has required that I slow down and take in the moment. In essence it has allowed me to really see what is around me.
Working in the field of natural land preservation has allowed me to spend my career connecting people to nature in a tangible way. Working in the beautiful landscapes that surround San Jose continues to rejuvenate my spirit and allows me to travel to our amazing National Parks and other natural landscapes to capture the feelings of awe and peacefulness to share with you.
Recently I have entered into wedding photography. My journey into wedding photography really started with my own wedding. Jennifer and I were young and on our own. Looking to save a little money we went with the recommended photographer of our Master of Ceremony. The pictures were less than we expected and could have been so much more. It is a reminder to me that it is not just a photograph, it is a memory of a very emotional and special day that will be cherished. It is a moment in time that I am capturing for you at your weeding.
